Nittany Oil Company, Hilltop Oil Company and K.V. Oil Company are full service companies, offering round-the-clock service.

To our automatic customers we also offer the benefit of service contracts - two annual options:
These contracts are of excellent value - one full year of coverage includes parts and labor and often costs less than one service call.
These two service contracts also offer replacement allowances on new equipment.
Daytime Allowances:
24-Hour Allowances:
Most older systems were designed for comfort, not fuel efficiency. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, a non-flame-retention burner can cost an extra 15 to 20% more per year. A high-efficiency, properly sized boiler or furnace can reduce fuel costs by 20 to 40%.
 Daytime Service Contract - $149.95
Our Daytime Service Contract is the best economical alternative to our 24-Hour Plan and includes Preventive Maintenance.
This plan provides the same coverage as the 24-Hour Plan with the exception of limited coverage on labor (see below).
Oil Burner Parts, listed to the right, are repaired or replaced as necessary at no
additional charge.
*Labor is included for covered service calls from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
Service after these hours will be performed at prevailing rates.
Replacement allowances are available toward the purchase of a new oil fired burner, furnace or boiler, installed by our technicians.
Professional Service - Guaranteed
All service work is guaranteed for thirty (30) days. Nittany Oil Company, HillTop Oil Company, and K.V. Oil Company Technicians are trained and certified by the Pennsylvania Petroleum Association. |
 24-Hour Service Contract - $219.95
Our 24-Hour Service Contract is the most comprehensive plan in the area. It's the plan to choose for ultimate security and includes Preventive Maintenance.
Oil Burner Parts, listed to the right, are repaired or replaced as necessary at no
additional charge.
*Labor is included 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for covered service calls.
Replacement allowances are available toward the purchase of a new oil fired burner, furnace or boiler, installed by our technicians.

Preventive Maintenance - $79.95 plus parts
Preventive Maintenance provides annual inspection, cleaning and tune-up of your oil burner and combustion area. This maintenance is scheduled and performed during regular business hours and includes:

General Conditions
Nittany Oil Company, Hilltop Oil Company, and/or K.V. Oil Company (hereafter called Companies) reserve the right to inspect equipment prior to acceptance and reject any contract should equipment be obsolete or in unsatisfactory condition. Repairs required to bring equipment up to contract specifications will be billed at prevailing rates.
Companies reserve the right to cancel a contract should the system require major upgrading. We will credit your account for the difference between all work performed and the contract price. The credit will be pro-rated. Contracts do not cover installation of new burners, boilers, furnaces, or any other items not specified. Equipment replacement allowances, as specified, are available only when equipment is purchased from and installed by the Companies. You will be billed at prevailing rates.
Contracts cover parts and labor specified that result from normal operation of equipment. Contracts do not cover the cost of labor and/or material resulting from fire, flood, lighting, electrical failure, or any other unusual circumstances beyond each Company's control.
Companies are not liable for loss, damage, or injury caused by delay or failure to perform service. Our liability is limited to the services specified and the payments made by the customer.
All work performed and parts installed, that are not covered by the contract, will be charged as an additional cost at prevailing rates. Excluded items includes, but are not limited to, piping, duct work, system alterations, water leaks, any part that touches water, electronic air cleaners, humidifiers, blower fan assemblies, combustion chambers, electronic thermostats, and false alarms on carbon monoxide detectors.
Companies are not responsible for malfunctions due to customer's neglect of normal responsibility. Service calls resulting from blown fuses, circuit breakers, oil burners switch being turned off, oil tank or line freeze up, thermostat not being properly set, inadequate voltage, lack of fuel (if not on automatic delivery), lack of water in the boiler, etc. are not covered by these contracts.
Companies reserve the right to void a contract or charge the customer who purchases fuel from another supplier or had work performed by someone other than the Companies anytime during the contract period. Should the customer fail to make payments according to these terms, the Companies reserve the right to cancel the contract immediately.
Contracts over twelve (12) months will automatically be renewed at the anniversary date unless terminated 30 days prior to that date.
Partial or full payment of the contract signifies acceptance of these conditions.
